What We Check During an RV Roof Inspection

A real roof inspection isn't a 5-minute glance from the ladder. We systematically check every area that fails on RV roofs:

• All roof-mounted fixtures — A/C unit base and surround, every vent flange, skylights, antenna mounts, and exhaust caps. These are the #1 source of leaks on RVs.
• Seam integrity — Every lap seam across the membrane, front-cap transition, rear-cap transition, and sidewall joints.
• Sealant condition — Current state of all factory and previously applied sealant. We note cracking, pulling, and exposed gaps.
• Membrane condition — UV degradation, chalking, cracking, soft sections, bubbling, and delamination.
• Soft spot testing — We probe suspect areas to find hidden water intrusion in the decking under the membrane.
• Prior repair quality — Any previously patched or resealed areas are checked to see if they're holding correctly.
• Drainage and ponding potential — We look for areas where water sits rather than runs off after rain.

How Much Does an RV Roof Inspection Cost?

Our on-site inspection fee is $375. That fee covers our travel to your location, the full inspection time (typically 30–60 minutes), photo documentation of every issue, and a written assessment report you keep. If you choose to proceed with any repair, coating, or replacement work, the $375 is credited in full toward that project cost — it's not an additional charge on top.
